Coach Lily with Parent Group

What I do

I use my education and lived experiences as a teacher, minister, parent, communicator, and administrator to help young adults create a winning playbook for their lives. I act as a mentor, advocate, encourager, and coach to help young adults grow from where they are to where they want to be. I understand the masks that most youth wear to get along with peers and adults in their lives. I help them to discover a true projection of themselves, so they can find more success in all their relationships. I promote effective listening and communication, effective organization, and strategic focus to help teens and young adults navigate and transition to greater responsibility, competency, and confidence. I assist them in creating a sustainable action plan to become creators of their current and future lives with greater intention and purpose.

What I believe

All young people can change their lives with sufficient guidance and strategic tools. I believe that learning should be followed quickly by application to retain and internalize habits and thought patterns. To that end, my book, Tools for Teen Transformation, the Teen Leadership Conferences, the Stop, Drop, and Live Suicide Prevention workshop, and other signature offerings are interactive. I believe that caring and informed parents are the best advocates and partners that young adults can have. As supportive stakeholders, they can help their children adopt tools and strategies that build growth mindsets for tremendous success and accomplishments. Each individual has to determine what success looks like for them. Bad and unexpected things happen, but we can face them with resilience supported by self-knowledge guided by proven strategies. My objective is to create avenues that allow teens and young adults to find their path and attain their goals.

Who I am

I am incredibly blessed to be the wife of Samuel Williams with five children, seven grandchildren, and counting! I have had an extremely satisfying career as an award-winning teacher, vice-principal, and principal. With over 30 years as an educator and school administrator, I have seen so-called incorrigible, disinterested, and withdrawn teens make tremendous strides towards success when given the tools to succeed. I am a believer in respecting and meeting young people where they are. I have overcome many obstacles in my life. I have also benefited from many blessings, such as strong family and community values. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to be a good role model and advocate for those in need. Authenticity and caring are “power tools” I use when coaching teens and young adults to move forward.
